Project Backyard "Summer Lights" Camp

We could not be more proud of these amazing students from Bay Life Church in Tampa, FL! For the last two weeks they have been serving with us in Thomasville, GA to help renovate the old Douglas High School facility and turn it into a community learning center for children.

They painted over 6000 square feet of the building, built, painted, & installed 6 picnic tables, cleaned, rebuilt, & painted a swing set, repainted all the playground equipment, repaired swings, pressure washed the sidewalks, did yard work around the building, helped spread pine straw around the trees and bushes, hosted a week-long Vacation Bible School for 60+ kids, and helped package more than 4600 servings of food with "Kids Against Hunger".

We are so thankful for these students giving up part of their summer to come and serve the Thomasville community and show the love of Jesus to those in need in our own backyard! Thank you to all of the leaders, including Brenton Shephard, Jessica Armstrong, Mickey Maldonado, Scott Mobley, David Parrish, Charley Hittinger, Angela Keys, and Bryan Watt for all their hard work in making these projects possible!

Last but not least, we want to say a special thanks to Bay Life Church in Tampa, FL for sponsoring all of the projects these past two weeks! We could not have done it without you!
